PHILIP AKODA, FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Philip Tete O. Akoda is the Founder and CEO of The AFLANG Project, responsible for supervising the creation, publication and marketing of the enterprise’s products. Prior to The AFLANG Project becoming a registered organization, Philip published the first Efik Language learning mobile application on Android (Efik is an endangered language spoken in Southern Nigeria). This led to his recognition and selection as the youngest and one of five key speakers at the Black History Month Celebrations on 27th October 2017, at the British House of Parliament. Subsequently, Philip continued on his vision for Africa and African languages—fueled by his passion for African history, cultures and languages, and travel experiences to several African countries—and, together with a new team, formally established The AFLANG Project.
