Mary-Brenda Eme Esosa Akoda is the Co-Founder and COO of The AFLANG Project, responsible for researching, providing and editing content for the enterprise’s products, including historical information and language and cultural content for translations, supervising the creation of the enterprise’s products, seeking funding and growth opportunities for the enterprise, providing advice to the CEO and sustaining the enterprise. As an experienced editor and writer, Mary-Brenda is also responsible for the creation of the enterprise’s business and legal documents. Previously, Mary-Brenda served as a consultant, since the enterprise’s inception in 2016, providing business advice and solutions to the CEO as well as professional writing and editing services. She also initiated discussions, gained rights to and published (under The AFLANG Project) the first fully electronic, and first by a native, English to Efik Language Dictionary online for the benefit of the deceased author’s family and the Efik community, after which she officially joined the enterprise in the capacity of COO. An alumna of African Leadership Academy, an institution situated in South Africa and developing young leaders and change makers from all African countries, Mary-Brenda is a budding serial entrepreneur with a background in African Philosophy, African Literature and Entrepreneurial Leadership. She has served as an Entrepreneurial Leadership educator and coach and is fascinated by African history, cultures and languages.
